Join us for a summer of hands-on forest fun in The Great Woodland Adventure at RHS Garden Wisley, Surrey

Head into the woods for a summer full of adventure at RHS Wisley. Enjoy six weeks of forest fun at our woodland basecamp with woodland crafts and bushcraft skills, and explore the world of trees on a family trail. Have a go at tree climbing and construct something extraordinary in the Big Den Build.

Garden admission applies; free to RHS members and children under 5. Children aged 5–16 just £5.

The Big Den Build*
Monday 28 – Wednesday 30 July
Bookable 90-minute sessions at 10am, 11.45am, 2pm and 3.45pm, Wilson’s Wood
Unleash your imagination with an epic building challenge! Join Woodland Tribe, the UK experts in constructive play, and together with your fellow adventurers build a giant woodland adventure castle.
Ages 4+ (must be accompanied by an adult).*

Woodland crafts
Daily, Saturday 19 July – Sunday 31 August
Drop-in sessions 10am – 4pm, Twin Oaks Lawn
Join us on the Twin Oaks Lawn near the Back to Nature Garden for daily forest-themed crafts, from leaf printing to making forest fairies.
Ages 3+ (must be accompanied by an adult)

Tree climbing*
Monday 4 – Friday 8 August
Bookable 1-hour sessions 10am – 4pm, Seven Acres
Reach new heights with a thrilling climbing experience in our majestic twin oaks on Seven Acres. Guided by professionals, this is a rare chance to enjoy breathtaking views of the garden from above.
Ages 6+ (must be accompanied by an adult).*£8 per child.

Bushcraft workshops*

Bookable 1-hour sessions 10am – 4pm, Wilson’s Wood
Learn essential outdoor skills, such as fire-lighting, whittling and making a survival bracelet, in these immersive woodland sessions with Big Hat Bushcamp.
